About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to honor America's national pastime by transporting players and spectators back in time to relive the glory and challenges of base ball as it was played in the 1800s through a commitment to historical accuracy, authentic match play, and period-appropriate uniforms and equipment. We aim to foster camaraderie, preserve the traditions of baseball, and celebrate the sporting excellence of 1800s American baseball.  By recreating the era's customs and values, we seek to educate, entertain, and ensure that the heritage of this beloved sport endures for generations to come

Our History

We were founded in 2009 under the name Mid Atlantic Vintage Base Ball League and rebranded in 2023 to the National Association of Historic Base Ball Clubs. We seek to maintain our reputation as historically-accurate presenters of 1800s American base ball.

Our Members

The member clubs of the National Association of Historic Base Ball Clubs follow the rules and customs and maintain the appearance of the base ball clubs of a particular year in the 1800s. All clubs are so certified by the Association's board.
